FaceBook: ESPNU College Town Review

Posted by Altered Confusion on March 1, 2011

This has been one game that I’ve been beyond hesitant about writing because much like a MMO it continues to evolve, but then again there’s always the fact that one could use a review of a game like this as a starter to help influence if they are going to end up playing the game or not. College Town is a game in which you build a college from the ground up, you can associate your school with an existing school, I chose Auburn.

Facebook: Zuma Blitz Review

Posted by Altered Confusion on February 25, 2011

Let me start this off by saying that I’m not at impressed with the majority of the games that FaceBook has out there. However there are a couple exceptions to the rule, and because I enjoy the following so much I thought it only fair to review it. Zuma Blitz is basically a break-neck speed version of the regular Zuma.

DC Universe Online Review

Posted by Altered Confusion on January 24, 2011

DC Universe Online is a MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online Game) for the PC (and soon the PlayStation 3), in which you get to create your own Super hero, or villain and take on many of the different famous locales in DC comics. You will be divided into either the hero faction or the villain faction. You’ll get to see one another on the battle field of PvP battles.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent Review

Posted by Altered Confusion on January 23, 2011

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a PC game in which you descent into the far reaches an ancient mansion in Prussia. You start off the game apparently having taken something that erases your memory. When you wake up you find yourself in unfamiliar surroundings, soon after exploring your surroundings you discover a letter that you, yourself, must have written shortly before. It tells you to seek out Alexander in the inner sanctum and kill him.

King’s Bounty Armored Princess Review

Posted by Altered Confusion on January 10, 2011

King’s Bounty Armored Princess is basically the sequel to King’s Bounty the Legend. This time around you are playing the part of a princess charged with bringing back the one person that can help save the kingdom from a powerful demon. You’ll have to venture into a portal that will send you to a whole new world. You will have to build an army to find your friend, and you will find yourself yet again on that hexagon filled field.

Disciples III Review

Posted by Altered Confusion on January 10, 2011

I’d like to start off by saying that I was one of the few that clung onto Disciples more than Heroes of Might and Magic. The second Disciples had me yearning for more and they delivered with the Gold Edition. Then the wait was on for this amazing graphic update of Disciples III. I think I set the bar way too high on this one. First off right out of the box the game, if you had the disc version in North America, did not work. So after getting it on release day, I had to wait almost 2 whole weeks before a patch came out that basically was a no-CD patch, which I think a lot of people downloaded a different version of out of frustration. For those who were luck enough to snag this game digitally you were in for a surprise as well as the game had some serious in game bugs as well.

Poker Night at the Inventory Review

Posted by Altered Confusion on January 10, 2011

Poker Night at the Inventory is a computer game brought to you by Tell Tale Games. You will get to play Texas Hold’em against some recognizable icons. Those of course would be Max (Sam & Max), Strong Bad (Homestarrunner), The Heavy (Team Fortress 2), and Tycho (Penny Arcade). You have all been invited to an underground tournament where you will have to pit your skills against one another. Done in the comedic formula that sets Tell Tale Games apart don’t be surprised if there are some zingers in there.

Atlus excited to create Atlus Online

Posted by Altered Confusion on February 3, 2009

atlus

Being an Atlus Fanboy since PS1’s Kartia, I’m happy to hear that Atlus is about to launch community portal called Atlus Online.

Now this is a place where you can hang with people of the same mind as you, but there apparently is also going to be a yet to be announced game that you’ll be able to play.

I’m not exactly sure what the extent of this will be, but here’s a direct quote from the Atlus man in charge.

“Atlus has long wanted to create an online portal that would become the daily destination for anyone looking for a fresh and engaging online entertainment experience,” said Shinichi Suzuki, president and CEO, Atlus. “Atlus Online will emerge as an extremely user-focused destination that is fully accessible to each and every one of its members. From amazing games to play to exciting contests, exceptional content and great community interaction, we are convinced that Atlus Online will be a premiere interactive entertainment destination for online gamers and anime fans alike.”

So go over to the site and pre-register for the site, and gain the ability to have early access to the unannounced title.
