E3 to Open their Doors a Bit Wider

In an attempt to recapture the glory days it would appear that E3 is returning to the formula which made it the place to be. This year’s E3 promises more relaxed registration, live music, and the return of the booth babes. Also as the information started trickling out it appears that almost every company that had broken away last year will be making a return.

E3 organizers are reporting that they expect to see the attendance skyrocket up to the old numbers, and maybe more. With their move back to LA last year, and now their new view on showing what the industry has to offer this could be a great moment for most.

To be honest I think this really needed to happen, a united front to promote games in an abysmal economy. A gesture of back scratching, and getting more average people in there to talk up what they see so that those out there that are very mistrusting of the press could get information from a less bias source.

Lets hope that this is the beginning of something that will re-ignite the game industry, and allow those out there that are hurting for publicity the ability to get their game shown. I have quite a few friends in the industry, and I know for a fact that it is a very tough time right now, just like every other industry. With the ability to show off their titles, or their ideas to more than just the core media outlets I think they gain the ability to have their games actually gain more of a name for themselves.
